HSE Representative Provided SME support for the drilling and completions function on safe work practices, standards, and guidelines over all permitted work activities.  Ensured that all safety devices, emergency disconnects, and alarm systems were in place and functioning for H2S, LEL’s, and Extreme Weather.  Conducted live drills weekly with onsite personnel related to Fire, Man Down, Spill, H2S, Tornado, and Evacuation.  Assisted in developing an SOP for events involving LEL leaks due to the rig’s CNG system.

Drilling Site Representative Oversaw drillings operations of CVX wells per the drillings POA’s, assisted in managing the rig crew to optimize non-routine task and simultaneous operations, prepared daily WellView reports, and ensured the CVX standards were met. Audited and delivered formal report outs on the major PSL’s for the 2019 calendar year. Interfaced with SCM and contract SME’s to determine areas of contract improvement in future negotiations.

Reservoir Engineer Intern Performed economic valuations on Chevron’s Permian assets, risked potential development strategies, evaluated trade alternatives, and provided trade recommendations to management that would add $2.4MM in value to the portfolio by enabling longer laterals, increasing working interest, coring up scattered acreage, and monetizing uncompetitive acreage. 

Drilling and Completions Engineer Intern Gathered and analyzed WellSafe quarterly rig assessment data. This included research, organization, database generation, and critical analysis of dataset.  Developed conclusions and recommendations based upon analysis.
