Project Manager / Estimator

 

Accountable for maintaining concrete budgets valued from $100,000 to $6,000,000 for multi-story elevated concrete frame structures, pre-cast concrete garage foundations, and large flat work / paving projects.  In charge of generating and maintaining schedules, subcontracts, and purchase orders in order to maximize profit and minimize losses for a project.  Responsible for timely and efficient generation of product and construction method submittals for review by the consultants of record.  Responsible for quality control and client relations on construction projects.

Cargill Salt – Lansing, New York

General Production Supervisor

 

Responsible for providing technical knowledge, operations experience, and management skills in the coordination of all elements of the underground production operation on a daily/weekly basis and interfacing production with maintenance services in the attainment of short and long-term facility objectives.

 

Production Supervisor

 

Frontline supervisor responsible for organizing, planning, leading, and controlling a production element(s).  Plan and implement training, review, and reinstruct employees on job tasks and safety goals.  Maintain adherence to all division/facility policies and procedures as related to payroll, safety, operational activities, personnel, etc. with a production element(s).

 

Project Engineer

 

In charge of the installation of a dust collection system for the bagging operation at Lansing.  Conducted an analysis of the Cayuga Mine’s screen plant and made recommendations on improving the efficiency of the screening process.  Ventilation engineer responsible for constant monitoring and upgrading of panel ventilation.

Sidney Coal Company – Sidney, Kentucky

Environmental Compliance Coordinator

 

Insured that permits and bonds were kept within compliance or progressed along in their revisions.  Dealt with regulatory agencies on a regular basis.  Responsible for AMD treatment pond maintenance and upkeep.  Acquired bond releases on permits.  Managed reclamation projects on abandoned mine properties.

 

Project Engineer

 

Designed, estimated, planned and executed the construction of a $2.5 million slurry pipeline.  In charge of the design of an ore pass system between two overlying coal seams.  Aided in the design of a new refuse impoundment.  Aided in the design of a new underground drift mine with primary goal to connect one of Sidney Coal Company’s primary mines to the processing plant via underground conveyor belting system.  Accountable for the construction of an acid mine drainage pipeline system.

 

Preparation Plant Engineer

 

In charge of the current refuse impoundment.  Responsibilities included coordinating the upstream construction of the impoundment as well as the installation of several emergency spillways.

 

Mine Engineer

 

Performed time studies for production section analyses.  Involved with mine conveyor belt moves, power moves, transportation system installation, and water system installation.  Operated all underground mine equipment.

Performed weekly updates on mine maps.  Responsible for the creation of monthly ventilation readings and reports.  Accountable for maintaining surface maintenance, shipping, and receiving records for the mine.
